RIBA Hong Kong: Transition to practice

You are invited to the Future Architects forum, designed to support students transition to practice.

Our Hong Kong Chapter is proud to announce that they will be co-hosting the Future Architects forum with three RIBA validated programs in Hong Kong - University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Design Institute, and HKU SPACE - during the first week of September.

The forum will be held over two days, Monday 1 September and Friday 5 September and is designed specifically for Master of Architecture and undergraduate graduating students, providing them with an invaluable opportunity to engage with practicing architects and gain insights into their future careers. The event will consist of small discussion groups centred around pertinent topics in the profession.

Participants will have the chance to engage in various meaningful conversations with industry professionals, facilitating a smooth transition from academic study to professional practice.

Discussion topics will include:

  • transition into practice
  • emerging architects,
  • routes to professional memberships
  • sustainability and resilience
  • and more

Eligibility

Please note that this event is only open to students attending the following schools:

  • University of Hong Kong
  • Hong Kong Design Institute
  • HKU SPACE

Mentors

Throughout the event students will interact with mentors in small group discussions on key topics relevant to their future careers. Each group will consist of eight to 10 students and two mentors. A new group of students will join a session every 30 mins.
